Looking Professional and Chic In Your Place of Work

By Xavier Davenport

Looking fashionable in your workplace doesn't necessarily mean that you need to spend big money on outfits, though investing money in one or two clothes that compliment the form of your body is usually a smart idea.

Avoid very loose-fitting or tight clothes; well-fitting ones are much better as they create an impression that you are arranged and unflustered. Wearing the correct kind of outfit helps you gain more confidence which should improve your potency at work.

Avoid picking your outfit at the last minute, you need to do it the day before to avoid hastily doing it that morning. Pencil skirts are a must have, as they always go well with fitting blouses. Try not to wear too many accessories, as it can make you seem like you might be going to a party. A smart looking briefcase or handbag should also add chic and professional touch to any outfit.

Belts are always in fashion and can actually make you look terribly classy and at the same time confident. Also, belts help disguise the fact that you're clad in a 2-piece outfit instead of one.

Black belt, black terraces, thin jeans, and a long shirt look good in an informal office setting, but if your office is very professional, you can use vest over your everyday attire. Another option is to wear a pencil skirt, long-sleeved shirt, and belt. Furthermore, you've got to have a good pair of black terraces and black heels to get the most from your shoe wardrobe. Mix and matching separate items gives the belief that you've got more outfits in your cupboard than you really do. Decorated necklaces are good items to brighten up your plain outfit as well , and you can get one that you can mix'n'match in nearly your clothes. Long pearl necklaces, for example, can be wrapped round the neck twice for a modish look.

Looking professional and well dressed can help boost your career opportunities as well as good performance. Keep in mind that you can still achieve a fashionable look even if your company has a strict dress code that has to be followed.
